Noel Pearson and Race

People tend to reduce Noel Pearson's argument to fit the contemporary -- and rather barren -- Australian political discourse on race and indigenous issues.

He is in-fact a very complex figure. This is evident in his essay on Obama. In it, he analyses Obama's own analysis of racial inequality and finds it lacking. Some will no doubt strongly disagree with him, but the essay is a joy to read nonetheless. It can be found here:
